Tản mạn: THE PICTURE OF LEGIO OF MARY (PART 1)
1/ Original Picture
The original was painted by a brilliant young Dublin artist as an offering to the Legion. “The picture is one of extreme beauty and inspiration, which is caught even by the small reproduction” and the devotional outlook of the Legion (Chap. 25, No. 1 & 2)

Dove = Holy Spirit: Has three (3) meanings:

the Rosary, which comprise the opening prayers, are pictured by the Dove
overshadowing Mary, filling her with light and the fire of his love… Without
her, that fire would not be enkindled in the hearts of men” (Chap. 25, No. 3)
3. 3/ The

4. 4/ Antiphon
in relation to Mama Mary
The picture of Mama Mary
was painted by a star on her brow, a bright sun shining from behind, fire
encircling around, two hands lowered in a gesture of transmitting grace, receiving
grace from God and pouring it down upon those below.
“The antiphon is the
portrayal of Mary, coming forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright
as the sun, terrible as an army set in battle array,” it refers Mary “is the
true Morning Star, bathed from the first in the beams of redeeming grace and
heralding the dawn of salvation.” Moreover, “the picture shows this undying
warfare: Mary and the serpent; her children and the serpent’s offspring; the
Legion and the powers of evil, which fall back scattered in defeat.” (Chap. 25,
No. 4)
“Magnificat Anima Mea
Dominum” (My soul glorifies the Lord). These letters of fire were set above
Mary’s head, when legionaries sing this prayers, they glorify the “triumph of
her humility.” (Chap. 25, No. 4)
